Review of Married by Morning by Lisa Kleypas

Historical Romance Lisa Kleypas
Married by Morning, the fourth book in the

Hathaway series
centres around Leo and Cat.

In previous books in this series, we’ve seen Leo

suffer so much.
Your heart can’t help but go out to

him.

Cat has had her own share of troubles, which we

find out in this
book.

After watching these two dance around each

other, bickering
and irritating one another, seeing

them slowly come together was
incredibly

satisfying.

Tempt Me at Twilight by Lisa Kleypas

Historical Romance Lisa Kleypas Blog Post
Tempt Me at Twilight, the third book in the

Hathaway series, follows Poppy and Harry

Rutledge on their path to love.

I have to say, Harry is not the type of man I

pictured Poppy ending
up with.  At the start of the

book, he’s manipulative and selfish, and
I didn’t

like him much.
But, after learning what happened

to him in his childhood, I started to
understand

him and like him better.

I may not have initially been for Poppy and Harry,

but by the end of the book, I was happy they’d

found one another and worked through their

issues.

Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas

Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas is the second

installment in
the Hathaway Series.

(You can read this book alone - but I highly

recommend reading
Mine Til Midnight first.)

While the first book centered on Amelia and Cam,

the main couple
in this second book is Amelia's

sister, Winnifred, and the
"Romany" male the

Hathaway's have made part of their family,

Merripen.

The way Winn and Merripen yearn for one

another is intense, to
say the least.

You can't help but feel for Merripen.  He is so in

love with Winn,
but he doesn't believe he deserves

her.

Winn loves Merripen in return and wants nothing

more than to
be with him, but she can't seem to

break through his
stubbornness.

Both characters are so strong, so passionate.  I

loved their angst-
ridden shared history.  When

they finally succumb to the
passion between

them - ?

Steamy!

Review of Mine Til Midnight by Lisa Kleypas

Mine Til Midnight by Lisa Kleypas is another

book that I’ve read
several times. It’s beautifully

written.  Lisa Kleypas has almost a
poetic way of

describing people and situations.

The main characters are Amelia Hathaway and

Cam Rohan, but other
 members of Amelia’s family

members play a big part in the
story.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll love the character

of Amelia.  She
is kind of a mother hen to her

siblings.  She’s independent,
intelligent, strong and

selfless.  Seeing how her relationship with

Cam develops is very satisfying.

Again, if you’re anything like me, you’ll love Cam.

He’s interesting
and kind of mysterious.  He’s

seductive
and attentive.

Review of Impetuous by Candace Camp

Impetuous by Candace Camp has been on my

bookshelf for years.

It’s one of the those books I’ve reread several

times.

It follows Cassandra and Philip on their hunt for a

long lost
treasure.

I think I enjoy this book so much because

Cassandra is as
strong, intelligent, independent

and brave as Philip.

She’s not waiting on a suitor to romance her or

take care of her.

She’s going after what she wants and taking care of

herself.

Having said that, I do enjoy the romance that

develops between her and Philip.

If you’re looking for a historical romance with

action/adventure,
likeable characters, and sweet

romance, you’ll enjoy this book.

It’s an oldy, but a goody!

Review of The Chief by Monica McCarty

If you love Scottish Historical Romances, you

really should read this series by Monica McCarty
!

It tells the story of the Highland Guard -

A secret army of
Scottish warriors working for

Robert the Bruce.

The Chief is the first in the series and sets

everything up.

It revolves aroundTor and Christina.

Tor - aka The Chief - is a warrior through and

through.

He doesn't do softness or tenderness.

Christina is a woman that fantasizes about

Lancelot and romance.

She wants to be loved and valued for herself.

For me, Christina is a little too fanciful at first,

but she does mature
as the story develops and I

liked her more and more the deeper I got

in the book.

Now Tor - him I liked right from the get go!

The way these two slowly come together will give

you all the feels!

I loved Grant and Ireland’s story.
There were a lot of fun, light moments to start out.  The banter between the two MC’s was great.  There were some more serious moments later in the book, which I wasn’t expecting after the humor in the first few chapters, but I loved the way their story unraveled.
I give it

I loved When I Found You!
The main characters,
Mack and Natasha, appear in earlier books.  So if you haven't read the Silver Springs Series I would start at the beginning.  You don't want to miss the scenes that lead up to this book.
Mack and Natasha's relationship is a complicated one.
Their story gave me all the feels!
I highly recommend the Silver Springs Series to romance readers!
I give it
